The Making of the Priests' Garments
39
πŸ“šAnd with the blue, and purple, and scarlet, they made woven garments for service in the Holy Place, and made the holy garments for Aaron, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
2 πŸ“šAnd he made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine woven linen. 3 πŸ“šAnd they hammered the gold into thin plates, and cut it into threads, to work it in the blue, and in the purple, and in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, the work of a skillful craftsman. 4 They made shoulder pieces for it to join it together. It was joined together at the two top ends. 5 πŸ“šAnd its skillfully woven waistband that was on it, was of one piece, and like it in workmanship, of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine woven linen, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
6 πŸ“šAnd they prepared onyx stones set in gold filigree settings, engraved, like signets are engraved, with the names of the children of Israel. 7 πŸ“šAnd he put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, as memorial stones for the children of Israel, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
8 πŸ“šAnd he made the breastplate, the work of a skillful craftsman, like the work of the ephod, of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine woven linen. 9 It was square. They made the breastplate double. Its length was a span and its width a span, being doubled.
10 πŸ“šAnd they set four rows of stones in it. The first row had a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle; this was the first row. 11 πŸ“šAnd the second row had an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond. 12 And the third row had a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst. 13 And the fourth row had a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were set in gold filigrees in their settings. 14 πŸ“šAnd the stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names. They had engravings like a signet, each one with its name, according to the twelve tribes.
15 πŸ“šAnd on the breastplate they made braided chains of pure gold, like cords. 16 πŸ“šAnd they made two gold filigree settings, and two gold rings, and put the two rings on two corners of the breastplate. 17 And they put the two braided gold chains in the two rings on the corners of the breastplate. 18 πŸ“šAnd the two ends of the two braided chains they fastened to the two filigree settings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, in the front of it. 19 And they made two gold rings, and put them on the other two corners of the breastplate, on its inside edge which was next to the ephod. 20 πŸ“šAnd they made two other gold rings, and put them at the bottom of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod, toward the front of it, close to the place where it joined, above the woven waistband of the ephod. 21 πŸ“šAnd they bound the breastplate by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, so that it would be above the woven waistband of the ephod, and so that the breastplate might not get loose from the ephod, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
22 πŸ“šAnd he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue. 23 And there was an opening in the center of the robe, as the opening of a coat of mail, with a band all around the opening so that it would not tear. 24 πŸ“šAnd on the hem of the robe they made pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and woven linen. 25 πŸ“šAnd they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates on the hem of the robe, all around between the pomegranates; 26 πŸ“ša bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem of the robe to be worn for service, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
27 πŸ“šAnd they made tunics of fine linen of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons, 28 πŸ“šand a turban of fine linen, and the fine linen caps, and linen breeches of fine woven linen, 29 πŸ“šand a sash of fine woven linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, of needlework, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
30 πŸ“šAnd they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and inscribed on it a writing, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD. 31 And they tied a lace of blue to it to fasten it to the turban near the top, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
The Tabernacle Articles Completed
32 πŸ“šThus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation was finished. And in what they made, the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses. 33 πŸ“šAnd they brought the tabernacle to Moses: the tent, and all its furniture, its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets, 34 and the covering of rams’ skins dyed red, and the covering of badgers’ skins, and the screening veil, 35 πŸ“šthe ark of the testimony, and its poles, and the mercy seat, 36 πŸ“šthe table, and all its utensils, and the showbread, 37 πŸ“šthe pure lampstand, with its lamps, with the lamps to be set in order, and all its utensils, and the oil for light, 38 πŸ“šand the golden altar, and the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense, and the hanging for the tabernacle door, 39 πŸ“šthe bronze altar, and its bronze grating, its poles, and all its utensils, the laver and its base, 40 πŸ“šthe hangings of the courtyard, its pillars, and its sockets, and the hanging for the courtyard gate, its cords, and its pegs, and all the articles for the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of the congregation, 41 πŸ“šthe woven garments for service in the Holy Place, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and his sons’ garments, for service as priests.
42 πŸ“šThe children of Israel made all the work according to all that the LORD commanded Moses. 43 πŸ“šAnd Moses looked at all the work, and saw that in doing it they had done it just as the LORD had commanded. And Moses blessed them.
