Page 7 Then he showed Nurul how to apply cloth dipped in cool water. He dipped the cloth in cool water whenever it became warm from touching Inur’s hot body. He checked her temperature again and the fever had decreased.
Page 8 The health worker told Nurul to breast feed Inur. He said, ”A person with a fever should drink milk, water or other liquids frequently. Fever burns up the water inside the body and then the body can't work normally. If the body gets too dehydrated, the person will die. The body needs liquid.”
Page 9 Then, the health worker examined Inur very carefully. He looked in her ears and throat, and he listened to her breath with his stethoscope. He looked all over her skin for infections. He took some blood to check for malaria. The health worker said, ”Infection or malaria can cause the body to become hot with a fever, so I am examining her to determine what is causing this fever.”
Page 10 After looking at Inur's blood the health worker said, ”Praise God. Inur does not have malaria. However, her ears are very red and swollen inside. She needs to take antibiotics to get rid of the infection.”
Page 11 Now Nurul knew what had caused Inur’s fever. She did all that the health worker told her. Soon Inur was a happy baby again.
